Dr. Moelo Malahleha, completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of KwaZulu Natal, graduating with her MBChB degree in 2005, Diploma in Child Health in 2010 and Paediatric specialist training in 2013. She is an experienced paediatrician who has served as a clinician in various hospitals in KwaZulu Natal. She developed a great interest in maternal and child health and spent 4 years working in a maternal and child health hospital in rural Northern KwaZulu Natal as a paediatric specialist.

Her research experience has been diverse, and she has been involved in several clinical trials as both a sub-investigator and a principal investigator. These have included vaccine trials, therapeutic and preventative clinical trials.

She has served as a principal investigator on several studies including maternal, paediatric and adult cardiovascular studies. Her focus is on providing ethical, high quality research which is ultimately of benefit to the community she serves.
