On October 29, 2024, the Synergy Biomed Research Institute (SBRI) team attended the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS) conference in Johannesburg. This year’s conference, themed “The Future of Antiretrovirals in Africa: Long-acting Agents and Beyond,” served as a significant gathering for healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing HIV treatment and prevention strategies.

The SBRI team, known for its commitment to addressing critical health challenges in South Africa, particularly in the Eastern Cape, was eager to engage with leading experts and fellow researchers at this event. The conference featured a range of sessions focused on the latest research findings related to long-acting antiretroviral therapies, implementation studies, and innovative prevention strategies.
